Humans are new to the galactic stage and need to be constantly making friends and connections lest the other species turn on them. Grant +2 instead of +1 whenever you Aid Another.

In the Thick of Things: At the beginning of the session, roll +Will. On a 10+, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. At any time, either you or the GM can spend your hold to have you show up in any scene, with the proper tools and knowledge. On a miss, the GM holds 1, and can spend it to have you already be there, but somehow pinned, caught or trapped.

Tactical Cloak: When you use your tactical cloak in battle, roll +Sharp. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 2. On your turn, you can spend your hold 1 for 1 to:

  • Create an opportunity but you haven’t yet seized it or followed through on it. The GM will tell you what it is. Take +1forward.
  • Secure an objective by stealth.
  • Attack from surprise. This option uses up all remaining hold. Do +1harm per spent hold.

Disruptor Ammo: Harm from the weapon permanently destroys 2-shield. You can only have one Ammo move attached to a weapon at a time. Changing Ammo moves in mid-battle counts as acting under fire.

Keen-Eyed: When you go into battle roll +Sharp. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 1. During battle you may spend your hold, 1 for 1, to re-roll any single die on any move.

Knife in the Dark: When you attack from hiding or from a circumstance prepared by you in advance, your harm is (ap).

Good in the Clinch: When you do something under fire, roll +Sharp instead of +Cool.

Special Move: When you have a supply of your custom pharmaceuticals, at the beginning of each session, roll +Will. On a 10+, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. At any point during that session you may spend your hold, 1 for 1, to get an automatic hit on any act under fire rolls as if you’d rolled a 10+.
On a miss, the GM holds 1 and may spend it at any time that session to inflict +1mental harm on you.

Nate is a man who understands trade-offs.

Access to the amenities of civilization means living near—too near—other people. A top-floor apartment with no shared walls and extra-effective noise cancellation means putting a bullet through someone’s brain. Bonsai, delicate porcelain, precise climate control, and an immaculate, sterile living space mean popping the occasional “faulty” airlock on an unsuspecting diplomat. Custom-tailored pharmaceuticals strong enough to confine OCD symptoms to isolation, plants, knick-knacks, and cleanliness mean occasionally hitching a ride with some very unpleasant people.

It all makes perfect sense. (Emphasis on perfect.)

His first wife, Nina, was one uptight character. Sometimes Nate wonders if he should have done more to warn her about the dangers of associating with people in his line of work, but those vorcha were awfully set on revenge, so it might not have done any good. He did learn a lot about covering his tracks, though.

Even contract killers get lonely, and the vorcha hadn’t tried anything in a few years. Marrying his ex-husband, Philip, seemed like a good idea at the time. So handsome! So charming! No way could Nate have known Philip was such a nitpicker, always You need help this and You’re a monster that. The restraining order was more of a relief than anything, in the end; same with the divorce. Going into hiding, though; that was insulting. Nate considers making the trade-off to find Philip so he can explain just how insulting it was in person…but the medication keeps it an idle thought.

Nate won’t kill parents in front of their kids. He kills vorcha at a steep discount.

Nate left Atropos Squad to infiltrate CAT6, a new mercenary company recruiting exclusively from dishonorably discharged Alliance soldiers. Within a couple of weeks he made it into the confidence of the leader of CAT6, Maya Brooks, and discovered her secret… she was creating a pet-Spectre, a cloned copy of Commander Shepard. When he heard that his old commander, Dariserix Bahktian, was looking for the Asari neuroscientist currently creating “Shepard’s” new mind, he tipped Dar off and precipitated the violence that resulted in Atropos Squad recovering both the scientist and the clone.

Natividad is now consolidating his control over the remnants of CAT-6 in the aftermath of the mission where the mercs were used as cannon fodder to cover for Atropos Cell’s infiltration of the Council Archives to update Shepard’s biometrics with those of the clone.
